Garden
The garden at the rear of the house offers a spacious, enclosed area of 450 m²—a peaceful and welcoming setting skillfully blends shaded and sunny spots.
Come and enjoy a tree-filled garden
A barn opening onto the garden provides a lovely covered area, ideal for lunching out of the sun in summer.
The garden features two charming brick structures (currently undergoing renovation) and a fully masonry-built well.
To complete the setting, a 6-person Jacuzzi will allow you to enjoy the outdoors in any season (installation scheduled for September 2027).

Typical sarthe well
The “Roses de Chemire” well features the design most common in the Sarthe region: a round well covered by a conical vault of rough-hewn stone and topped with a stone sphere.
Dating these wells is difficult because most have evolved over time; some even date back to the Gallo-Roman era.
The 19th century was a period of significant modernization for wells, as rural areas remained heavily populated and there was a desire to improve both comfort and efficiency.
.Consequently, pumps and mechanical systems were installed in many of the region’s wells. The well in the “Jardin des Roses” in Chemiré is situated in a traditional location, being very close to the house—and the kitchen in particular.
At the time, it was the women and children who were responsible for fetching water from the well.
The height of luxury was having the well located directly inside the kitchen, though few people in the countryside could afford such an arrangement.
